Decisions, Decisions

Well the family was in town this week and I must admit, I has been interesting. I did get a dresser, a crib and a changing table out of it. So that was cool after a few hours of trying to decide. It really starting to get close and I think I am starting to feel the pressure. We were all in the baby store looking at cribs when I was totally overwelmed and had to run to the bathroom to get away from everyone. There are way to many decisions to make and I know this is just the beginning. Next is "what are the names you picked out" then "do you want drugs during delivery" and then "are you going back to work" and then "what school are you going to send your daughter to" and then they start all over when you have another one...my Lord!!!!! So much to think about!!! But it should be ok, Edward is supportive about everything (some of the time...lol...most of the time its like pulling teeth to get him to put his honest opinon into the mix...."I don't care, its whatever you want"....lol...)But i know everything will be ok, It always tends to work out and fall into place. Just need to remember to remain calm.

Wheels Go-Round!!!

30 weeks!!! I don't believe it!!! My god where did the time go! My mother-in-law was in town on a work conference, but of course she could not go without buying her grand-daughter some more stuff...(THANKS AGAIN MA!!!! Really do love it all!) So now we have a stroller and carseat (which came together) and a bathtub (which I was not sure about at first even though the girl in the store recommended it, until I went on line and saw it got 4-5 stars). Really starting to knock stuff off the list...This week we should be getting a crib and some of the other bedroom stuff.
We took the stroller and carseat out of the box and put the doll in it and pushed it around the apartment to get the pup used to it. He was more worried about the wheels on he stroller moving then he was the doll making noises inside the stroller. I think he is starting to get used to it, but of course time will tell how he reacts to the real thing. We may need to get him a new playmate to keep him busy...lol...

Duh!!!!

I am such a Minerva...I tend not to feel the baby move at night, and I really didn't feel her move on Wednesday night (but now that I think about it, maybe it was because I was so excited about LOST) and all day on Thursday, so I called the doctor just to ask "what is the normal amount of movement I should be feeling" and the sent me over to the specialist to do some fetal monitoring...Well, let me tell you, they did an ultrasound just to make sure the fluid is good and her heart is beating and she is breathing...everything is fine...except the fact when the tech shook my belly and then poked it really hard with her fingers...the baby DID NOT move at all!!!!!! So then I had to sit in the reclining chair with fetal monitors strapped on my belly listening to the heartbeat for god only knows how long...(well I lasted through a Dharma and Greg episode and a Spin City episode so I guess about an hour) while my husband talks about Rosario Dawson...lol...So of course for that hour she was kicking and punching the crap out of my insides, wide awake and healthy!!! Apparently she is just very very lazy!!!!

28 Weeks!!!

Today marks my 28th week, God I have no idea where the time is going. Things are pretty much the same except I felt the baby Roll yesterday...I don't quit think I have ever felt the baby "roll" before...kick-hell yeah...roll...not so much...Felt kinda cool. I kinda forget sometimes that I'm pregnant until I walk past a mirror and noticed a Moose looking back at me or all of a sudden I feel a kick right in my bladder that forces me to run to the potty!!!! I have put a new link on the side in case any one would like to follow the development of the baby with me (http://www.pregnancy.org/pregnancy/fetaldevelopment1.php). It includes descriptions of what is happening this week and ultrasound pics too...Quit Interesting Actually!!!

Almost there!!!

I finally made it to the third trimester!!!! I had to go to the doctors to take my last blood test to check out my glucose and iron, and of course my iron came back low so now I have to take some iron pills on top of the 2 a day prenatal vitamins I was taking, but that’s cool as long as the baby is doing well I really don't mind, and all is going well. You know, when I first found out I was pregnant in June I thought it was going to go by so slow, but here I am. was just flipping through my "What To Expect When Expecting" book and I past by the 4th month and I remember when I was reading that month when I was early on thinking, "Geez I wonder why its going so damn slow to get to the 4th month"...but when I look back on it now, it just breezed on by. I heard that the last trimester goes by slow because you just can't wait, but I think it will go by fast enough because we will be so distracted by Holiday season, but who knows. I finally got around to taking some quick pics of some of the stuff we have for the baby so far, but trust me, its still early. My mother-in-law bought us a whole bunch of stuff and sent it from D.C. like two weeks ago...(SO EXCITING!!!!!!)We just received a notice on Wednesday of this past week that it is at the Post Office across town and I am going to have to send Edward over there to get it because of course the Post Office is only open Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00 and that is when I need to be in work...lol...but all is well. Thanks Ma for all of the stuff in advance!!!!(will post some pics when I get the package)

Toys!

We decided to get the baby some toys. My husband apparently loves baby Pooh because of his big head. He says his head is what makes him so cute-I think he likes Baby "Big Head" Pooh because my husband can sympathize with him because they both have big heads....lol...Sorry Boogs!! I on the other hand cant resist Eeyore...look at that dumb pudd'm - So adorable!!!

Week 26 and Still Growing

Tuesday I reached my 26 week point...yippy!!!! Almost there. Had my monthly doctors appointment and of course that's always fun... Check your weight and measure you belly to see how much you resemble that Blue Whale you saw on discovery channel last night!!! The best part of the exam is actually hearing the baby's heartbeat with a "Doppler" which looks like a little baby microphone..."Check one check, check!!" But all of that aside, I am happy to say that all is well!

It's a bird, no it's a plane...no IT'S SUPER-PUP!!!

I know this blog is supposed to be about my pregnancy but how can i talk about what is going on with my pregnancy without talking about my "first baby"...the "big brother" I suppose. Since Bishop likes to wear clothes we decided to dress him up for Halloween...yes thats right a 75lb, 10 month old Pit Bull likes to wear clothes...go figure. I suppose it might go along with his goofy ear!!
