We just moved into our new house this weekend which is great, although I'm not sure if Bishop is to comfortable yet because he will not leave our side...lol..and on top of that we went to the doctors and he said that we are going to have to deliver the baby early because her weight is low-Possibly Next Week!!!!!! She weighed in at a whopping 4 1/5 lbs! So the doctor wants to deliver her early so we can actually control and monitor the nutrients she gets. Other than that she seems to be healthy-her heart rate is good, her brain looks good, her little kidneys and bladder looks good, she was practicing breathing so she had the hiccups (and the doctor said that was really good) she's just small. I'm not sure if I am ready...well I guess your never really ready. Needless to say since we just moved in this weekend all of our stuff is everywhere, not to mention the baby's room is sooooo not done, but I figured if she is born weighing 5 lbs, she can sleep in the bassinet for awhile...lol. The funny thing is everyone kept telling me make sure you don't get alot of "newborn"clothes because she probably wont fit in them and if she does she wont fit in them long, so make sure you get some bigger clothes...well guess what 0-3 months is 8-12lbs...so I had to go and buy her the "newborn" clothes that everyone told me not to get (5-8lbs)...no biggie, hopefully she grows fast!!!

34 Weeks and Still Counting

I am now 34 weeks, which means technically I have 3 more weeks until "Full Term" and 6 more weeks until my due date of February 7, 2006. Part of me is so ready to not be pregnant anymore, I miss not being able to sleep on my belly, pains in my back ribs, not fitting in to my nice clothes or taking my wedding ring off an hoping to God I don't loose it because my fingers are swollen; but the other half of is so not ready for this because it really flew by, I have no idea where the time went...I know I keep saying that put it went by ridiculously fast. I guess it was because of the holidays and we were looking for a house and everything happened at once. Thank God it happened around this time because I don't think I can take being 7-9 months pregnant in the 120 degree summer of Las Vegas, NO WAY. So I think when I plan my next child I will make sure my due date comes before May. Anywho...a few weeks ago there was a scare where I did not feel her moving at all...well be careful what you wish for because it will happen moreso than what you expected! She is moving around like crazy! Alot of it is squirming because she is starting to run out of room, but you occasionally will get karate chopped in your spleen really hard or kicked in your stomach(which is not nice right after you eat considering you stomach is squashed as it is). That is not to mention when she decides to stretch...your stomach will feel like its stretching in ways it really shouldn't be stretching which feels really weird. But I really can't complain, I doesn't hurt and at least I know she is healthy because she moves around so much. I do have another ultrasound on January 6th to see if her weight has gone up any, my doctor said she just might be a small baby or a late bloomer and gain all of her wait at once. Who knows, we will find out in a week and a half. But I really do not mind if she is small as long as she is healthy-and from the way she kicks and punches I really think she's just dandy!!!

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas to everyone...I hope you had a very happy holiday, receiving all of the wonderful gifts you wanted and some you never expected. Guitar Hero is very similar to the Dance Revolution Game...(for all of you geeks that want to learn how to dance like Brittney Spears...lol...nah just kidding...I never played it but it does look like fun). The game comes with you very own Gibson guitar(not real by the way). You get to rock out to some of the oldies but goodies like Ozzy, Cream, Motorhead and Boston as well as some new songs by Queens of the Stone Age and Franz Ferdinand. This game is great!!! It really makes you want to play guitar...I have a guitar at home and never touch it because I am so impatient, but this game really makes you want to play. I give it 5 stars for great music and addiction factor!!!!

Happy Birthday Bishop!!!

Today is Bishop's 1st Birthday!!! We went to the doctor's yesterday for an ultrasound and they confirmed it is definitely a girl but apparently she is alittle smaller than they would like her to be. When the tech took measurements she came up with approximately 3.5 pounds, but when the doctor came in and took measurements it came out to be approximately 3.11 pounds...I think I am going to go with the doctors measurements...The good part of that is he said it is on the small side but we shouldn't worry about anything right now and we need to go back in three weeks for another ultrasound just to be safe. (He said the norm is about 4 lbs or more) But to be honest, as long as she healthy I don't mind having a small baby, easier labor. I don't want to give birth to a 9lb baby, that would suck. They measured her heart-rate and everything was fine...So hopefully everything else works out for the best. Well it wasn't horrible but it kinda sucked. For the past 8 months of pregnancy I have been pretty good at controlling my hormones, no real outbreaks, I can sit there and watch a chick flick without crying, my husband can call me "chunky" and "porky" and I would be fine and just laugh about it and call him something back...But all of sudden on Saturday I just started hysterical crying for no apparently reason, just felt like doing it, I suppose. Then I thought I was fine by Sunday...nope...Niagara Falls!!!!! But now its a new day, took a shower this morning and just let everything finally soak in (the changes going on in my life that is) I serious think there is no problem a nice warm shower can't cure-everything always seems so much clearer when you get out of the shower (could also be all of the steam in there...lol...)

I have been having these weird dreams lately about zombies (oh wait one was a werewolf). Saturday night...Zombies...Friday night...Werewolves...Thursday night...Zombies....Wednesday night...Zombies...Now, usually these types of dreams do not bother me but because it happened so frequently so close together and felt so real I decided to interpret my dreams. My theory is that my life is changing (zombies and werewolves go through a change) and it might be scary, but its going to happen, and I just need to finally face that change and move on to whatever comes next(I'm sure its not going to be decaying bodies and rotting corpses...but hey, maybe I will write a book). When I realized this falling asleep last night...had a zombie free dream...weird huh??

Sleepy Rock!!!

Well at 31 weeks, breathing is definitely a chore. Everything on the inside is just squashed, I'm not even sure where anything is!!! That is not to mention every morning at 2:00am I am wide awake, so therefore, I am not getting any sleep on top of things. But that's ok because it is almost over, but then I will be up at 2:00am for different reasons, until she starts sleeping through the night. But even then I will probably be up at any little noise that comes from the room until shes older, and then I won't sleep at night because I would be worried when she's out with her friends, (and if she is going to be anything like her father...god help me). So I guess I can say goodbye to sleep permanently.

We tried to play some classical music for her but she doesn't budge-nothing-not even turns, but everytime I am in the car and "3 Doors Down" is on the radio, the girl starts moving around and kicking. That is not to mention her love for Gwen Stefani...this girl apparently has rock in her blood since her father was part of the famous band XFG many moons ago....lol...So she is getting a little guitar for her 2nd birthday...lol...but we will see what happens because she also loves nursery rhymes too so maybe she will be a poet....nah she will write the music with her guitar!!!!

Nesting!!?

I have been reading that some women are absolutely tired and can not move during the 3rd trimester and they have no idea whats wrong with them...I wish that were the case. I can't stay still!!! And when I try to be still I feel nauseous and need to get up. Apparently this is called "nesting", the time when the mama bird's instinct kicks in to prepare for the baby. To be honest, I really try to be lazy and relax on the couch after work and watch some TV or bug the hubby while he's drawing, but then I get so damn restless, I just want to "SCREAM!!!!!" So then I get up and wash some clothes or wash the two glasses that are sitting in the sink...I feel like I am OCD. I suppose this is a good thing. I guess I could be really lazy and not do anything at all and use the "pregnant" card (like Edward calls it) all the time. Although, I guess I would be lying if I said I don't use it at all...."Boogs can you clean up the patio, I cant bend over because I'm PREGNANT" or "Boogs, can you get me a drink I just sat down and its hard for me to get up easily because I'm PREGNANT". I did get a dresser, a crib and a changing table out of it. So that was cool after a few hours of trying to decide. It really starting to get close and I think I am starting to feel the pressure. We were all in the baby store looking at cribs when I was totally overwelmed and had to run to the bathroom to get away from everyone. There are way to many decisions to make and I know this is just the beginning. Next is "what are the names you picked out" then "do you want drugs during delivery" and then "are you going back to work" and then "what school are you going to send your daughter to" and then they start all over when you have another one...my Lord!!!!! So much to think about!!! But it should be ok, Edward is supportive about everything (some of the time...lol...most of the time its like pulling teeth to get him to put his honest opinon into the mix...."I don't care, its whatever you want"....lol...)But i know everything will be ok, It always tends to work out and fall into place. Just need to remember to remain calm.

Wheels Go-Round!!!

30 weeks!!! I don't believe it!!! My god where did the time go! My mother-in-law was in town on a work conference, but of course she could not go without buying her grand-daughter some more stuff...(THANKS AGAIN MA!!!! Really do love it all!) So now we have a stroller and carseat (which came together) and a bathtub (which I was not sure about at first even though the girl in the store recommended it, until I went on line and saw it got 4-5 stars). Really starting to knock stuff off the list...This week we should be getting a crib and some of the other bedroom stuff.
We took the stroller and carseat out of the box and put the doll in it and pushed it around the apartment to get the pup used to it. He was more worried about the wheels on he stroller moving then he was the doll making noises inside the stroller. I think he is starting to get used to it, but of course time will tell how he reacts to the real thing. We may need to get him a new playmate to keep him busy...lol...

Duh!!!!

I am such a Minerva...I tend not to feel the baby move at night, and I really didn't feel her move on Wednesday night (but now that I think about it, maybe it was because I was so excited about LOST) and all day on Thursday, so I called the doctor just to ask "what is the normal amount of movement I should be feeling" and the sent me over to the specialist to do some fetal monitoring...Well, let me tell you, they did an ultrasound just to make sure the fluid is good and her heart is beating and she is breathing...everything is fine...except the fact when the tech shook my belly and then poked it really hard with her fingers...the baby DID NOT move at all!!!!!! So then I had to sit in the reclining chair with fetal monitors strapped on my belly listening to the heartbeat for god only knows how long...(well I lasted through a Dharma and Greg episode and a Spin City episode so I guess about an hour) while my husband talks about Rosario Dawson...lol...So of course for that hour she was kicking and punching the crap out of my insides, wide awake and healthy!!! Things are pretty much the same except I felt the baby Roll yesterday...I don't quit think I have ever felt the baby "roll" before...kick-hell yeah...roll...not so much...Felt kinda cool. I kinda forget sometimes that I'm pregnant until I walk past a mirror and noticed a Moose looking back at me or all of a sudden I feel a kick right in my bladder that forces me to run to the potty!!!! I have put a new link on the side in case any one would like to follow the development of the baby with me (http://www.pregnancy.org/pregnancy/fetaldevelopment1.php). It includes descriptions of what is happening this week and ultrasound pics too...Quit Interesting Actually!!!

Almost there!!!

I finally made it to the third trimester!!!! I had to go to the doctors to take my last blood test to check out my glucose and iron, and of course my iron came back low so now I have to take some iron pills on top of the 2 a day prenatal vitamins I was taking, but that’s cool as long as the baby is doing well I really don't mind, and all is going well. You know, when I first found out I was pregnant in June I thought it was going to go by so slow, but here I am. was just flipping through my "What To Expect When Expecting" book and I past by the 4th month and I remember when I was reading that month when I was early on thinking, "Geez I wonder why its going so damn slow to get to the 4th month"...but when I look back on it now, it just breezed on by. I heard that the last trimester goes by slow because you just can't wait, but I think it will go by fast enough because we will be so distracted by Holiday season, but who knows. I finally got around to taking some quick pics of some of the stuff we have for the baby so far, but trust me, its still early. My mother-in-law bought us a whole bunch of stuff and sent it from D.C. like two weeks ago...(SO EXCITING!!!!!!)We just received a notice on Wednesday of this past week that it is at the Post Office across town and I am going to have to send Edward over there to get it because of course the Post Office is only open Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00 and that is when I need to be in work...lol...but all is well. Thanks Ma for all of the stuff in advance!!!!(will post some pics when I get the package)

Toys!

We decided to get the baby some toys. Almost there. Had my monthly doctors appointment and of course that's always fun... Check your weight and measure you belly to see how much you resemble that Blue Whale you saw on discovery channel last night!!! The best part of the exam is actually hearing the baby's heartbeat with a "Doppler" which looks like a little baby microphone..."Check one check, check!!" We didn't want to just come home with a new baby and then all of a sudden..POW Bishop is not the baby anymore ah ha. So, this weekend we decided to get a babydoll that makes cooing noises and cries and slathered some baby lotion and baby powder all over it so it smells like a baby. We wrapped it in a baby blanket and hold it while its making the different noises. Needless to say Bishop is very good about it...I expected him to jump up on the babydoll trying to chew it up...but he has been really good about it. He does, however, get very excited!! He's perks up his posture and wags his tail like crazy trying to get a peak of the "baby". Hopefully we will keep this up an possibly use the babydoll in some of the furniture (like a swing) just so he gets used to everything...God, I hope this works!!!!!

Soccer Player?

October 1, 2005 was the first time i felt her kick. It was one of the strangest things you can feel. The first thing you think of is "Alien" the movie...especially if you have seen those movies as much as I have and your belly is nice and round and all you feel is moving (can't wait until the later months when you can actually see a foot)...yuk!!! But then you realize that that is a baby; a living, breathing baby...COOL !!!! Ever since then she has been going crazy, kicking away at my blatter and other organs. Unfortunately all day yesterday i really didn't feel anything, but it was probably because i was lazy and slept all day, therefore she was feeling lazy too. Until this morning when my husband decided to go to Jack in the Box for breakfast and she heard the woman on the speaker start to speak...she started kicking away!!!!
